The Bookroom Art Press
We are gallerists and publishers of limited edition fine art prints.
We specialise in the publication of prints after work by linocut artists of the British Grosvenor School (1925 – 1940); paintings of the Neo-Romantic School (1930 – 1950); the woodcut work of the American Provincetown printmakers (1914-1950), and work from established and emerging artists on both sides of the Atlantic.
What’s in a name? The Bookroom Art Press was started in 2008 in the basement of our erstwhile independent bookshop in Brighton, on the south coast of England. We called this basement ‘the Bookroom’ because we used it to store our excess book stock. We then moved, by way of a Regency building near the famous Palace Pier, to a new dedicated gallery. We are mid-way along a cobbled mews adjoining First and Second Avenue, one block up from the beach and the sea, in Hove.
